- 1). Release all calls and check that you have a dial tone. Press "Feature" followed by "*" followed by "0." Press the button that you want to check. Confirm that it has the right memory or line feature by looking at the display.
- 2). Press "Feature" followed by "*" and then "7." Press a number on the dial pad to adjust the contrast level. If you select a high number, you get a higher contrast level.
- 3). Press "Feature" followed by "*" and then "6." Press "1," "2," "3," or "4" to hear the different ring tones. Use the softer and louder volume buttons to adjust the volume while the phone is ringing. Press "Feature" when you want to store the ring.
- 4). Pick up the receiver. Press the "Intercom" button, followed by the number to make an internal call.
- 5). Pick up the receiver. Press the "Line" button and then dial the number to make an external call.
- 6). Press the "Hold" button when in a call to put a caller on hold. Press the "Line" button by the flashing arrow on the display to return to the call.
- 7). Press the "Handsfree" button to make a call without picking up the receiver. If you are already in a call, put the receiver down in the cradle. Pick it up again to turn off hands-free mode. Press "Rls" to cancel the call if there is no answer.
