Finding the girl of your dreams is not a particularly easy task. Once you have successfully wooed her and you know sheââ¬â¢s the one you want to spend your life with, you pop the question. If all goes as planned, sheââ¬â¢ll say yes and you can begin planning for your lives together.Of course, before you can consider starting a family and all that good stuff, you have to prepare for the wedding. Your dream wedding might be a bit difficult these days given the state of the economy, but even on a budget, your wedding can be as glamorous and beautiful as youââ¬â¢ve always desired.
The Wedding Dress
The dress is potentially the single most important part of the wedding for a woman. Bianna Golodryga, co-anchor of Good Morning America, reports that, on average, the bride tries on 30 dresses at several stores before finally deciding on the dress.
Bianna Golodryga mentions that the average couple in the U.S. will spend about $27,000 on their wedding day, and a chunk of that goes towards the wedding dress. However, Costco, the bargain warehouse club known for selling high volumes of products at low prices, has recently thrown its hat into the ring, offering wedding dresses at bargain prices.
As Bianna Golodryga reports in her article, the wedding dresses offered by Costco range between $699 and $1,399, which is a minimum 40% off of the retail price. And despite the low price, the quality of the gown is no different. While youââ¬â¢ll be just around the corner from a food court and a bulk pack of potato chips, you will still have your own beautiful dressing area, bridal consultants, flowers, and a showroom.
The Venue
When it comes to choosing a venue for the wedding, try going the non-traditional route. The venue is often the factor that drives the price of the overall wedding. Instead of dedicated reception halls and country clubs, look at more affordable places. City-run spaces, like zoos, parks, and civic gardens, and restaurants will be much more affordable. Try to find a place that has some meaning for you and the bride, whether itââ¬â¢s your parentsââ¬â¢ yard or the beach.
If the space is not equipped to cater a wedding reception, make sure to add in extra costs for tables, chairs, toilets, and other necessities. You may even have to bring in a kitchen.
Just remember this: the more money you save on the ceremony and reception, the more youââ¬â¢ll have for your honeymoon! For more interesting articles from Bianna Golodryga, check out Bianna Golodryga's website [http://www.biannagolodryga.org/] or check out Bianna on Twitter.
