Stop Multi Tasking

A recently departed mentor of mine, Jim Rohn defines multi taking as "screwing up several things at once.
" When we want to make a life style change, do we simultaneously think we can continue to do the same things we once did and expect different results? Have you tried to multi task by eating while working and not concentrating on the real reasons for eating? Do you consider the nutrition and calories of what you are eating or just eat to get full with little distraction from the true reason for refueling your body? If you want a way a sure of eating healthy and getting the weight loss result, consider meal replacement shake.

This is one way to multi task safely when doing things that have an effect on your health.
Another way to multi task while improving your health is to walk on a tread mill while watching your favorite news program or entertainment show.

It is necessary to concentrate on the moves even though you have done them many times before.

Last week I took some time to travel to Indiana to attend my 50th High School Class reunion.
While attending the reunion, I spoke with a very dear friend, Nadine Grant, President, Grant Cross Communications Group, who told me about a recent post on stop multi tasking.
In her blog Nadine suggest that while we can do several things at the same time "we should focus on being physically, mentally, emotionally, and perhaps, spiritually present with our main task.
" Now back to my trip for the reunion.
I had the pleasure of spending 4.
5 hours in Mammoth Cave near Horse Cave, Kentucky.
I traveled 267 feet underground in the cave.
Lighting was poor but one must remember, the cave is pitch-black and a constant 56 degrees at that depth.
It was a wonderful experience going down into the earth and then climbing back out during our 4 mile walk.
You can see many sights and maybe someday you can make the tour.
Do not multi task during this trip.
Look at the sights and concentrate on what you see as you will most likely never see anything like it anywhere else on earth.
Another common mistake in multi tasking is to read important material or a novel that is detail oriented in who did what, and try to watch television at the same time.
You will find that you do not remember the material or garner an understanding of what is going on from either source.
I learned at ayoung age that it is impossible to ride two horses at once.
Stay focused on what you are trying to understand and you will master that much quicker and be more proficient.
