Why Do Professional Golfers on Tour Prefer Playing a Fade Then a Draw

Why do professional golfers on tour prefer playing a fade then a draw? While club amateurs like us are always trying to play a draw just to get that extra distances.
To understand on how to manufacture a fade shot or a draw shot in golf.
The golfer (he/she) must first understand the position of the club face at impact and where your hands pointing at impact.
For the right hander golfer left hand should be pointing at the target.
For the left hander golfer the right hand should be pointing at the target.
Ben Hogan, who is regarded the best ball striker in golf said that there was no such thing as a straight shot.
To the naked eye it looks straight but it wasn't.
This is because when you deliver your clubface at impact the golf ball will spin.
It will either spin right left or left to right, and this because the club face is either tad open or close at impact.
That's why Mr.
Hogan said that if you hit a straight shot you are lucky.
Because it was very difficult to deliver the club face square at impact.
You might have solid fundamentals like the grip and stance etc.
But now we need to find out whether our club face is tad open at impact or tad closed at impact.
You see the pros have high resolution cameras to work this out where as the average golfer like you and I don't.
The pros prefer hitting fade than a draw simply because a fade is easier to control and does not require that much finesse when it comes to hitting a draw.
Six time major winner Lee Trevino said "a draw won't listen to you but the fade will".
The World's greatest golfer Jack Nicklaus who won 18 majors on the tour and his record is still not broken always played golf with a fade.
Now don't get me wrong these guys could draw the ball too, but only if they had too.
90 percent of golfers out there slice the golf ball including me.
So this means 90 percent golfers have an open club face at impact during their swing.
We can rectify this slice and turn it into a fade by doing the following.
1.
Re check your grip (making sure your v are point correctly) 2.
Re Check your stance 3.
Re check your posture 4.
The follow through I hope this article helps you in improving your golf game.
Cheers Jay
