How to Properly Meditate in Iyengar Yoga

    • 1). Have you felt that your meditation is not getting you the results you are so looking for? Are you wondering how the gurus are getting the progress they seek? It is given to the weak and strong, but first proper technique will get you on your way to the journey of a renewed you. It begins with the goals of your heart, mind, body, spirit and soul. It is evident that you must start the race with one goal in mind. In the beginning of your session, you dive deep in your inner world looking for the reason and purpose of your meditation and Iyengar yoga pose. It is evident without the proper mental and emotional vision, you could lead yourself to a dead end. In this step, write a goal first, then picture it in your mind, get it in your heart, bottom of your gut, and then move it upward within your soul. Release it upward and then outward to show the world your energy. It is obvious that without this step you will not achieve anything. It will become a vain and empty experience without a strong building stone, foundation to stand and anchor on.

    • 2). Within the first session, initiate your pose. Choose a Iyengar yoga pose, this session choose the child's pose to balance your self. It is my favorite pose, like a cat, stretch your whole being as a child see yourself letting go your garbage and empty your trash. This is a cleansing meditation that can be use to cleanse and detoxify yourself from within. It is apparent that we are beings that do most of our cleansing from external means. It is not a popular practice to do the cleansing and detox from within. This will do the job well done. It is a strong cleansing. You can use meditation in Iyengar Yoga to bring balance and strength. Curl yourself on your fours, legs, arms, and touch your nose to the ground. Try to see your nose in your mind touching the inner world of your soul, the tummy if you will. Bring your complete self in a ball, center yourself in the middle of your tummy without releasing your ball. Like a cat, stretch your arms, but bring your rest of the body within a ball. The meditation is what you visualize within that session.

    • 3). Paint one picture per session. Don't be anxious, see one goal achieved at a time. If you have pain in your body, meditate that pain leaving your body. Trash your pain, release your pain while you're in a Iyengar yoga pose, meditate during that pose, do not let go of your goal, seeing your pain released as you release the pose. The process of throwing the pain away while you're in the pose, then release the pain, trash it as you let go of the pose. This meditation is the proper technique to use Iyengar yoga poses to reach holistic goals of your existence. Don't settle for emptiness and vain sessions. Gather yourself and know thy self, know that you are worthy for a greater energy and life. Begin the journey from within. Safe journey!
