Chakras Made Simple

Chakras - A Simple Explanation Chakra is a Sanskrit word that means "wheel" or "turning" They are said to be like swirling centers that send and receive energy.
They resemble a flower with petals or perhaps a spoked wheel.
Several Chakra systems exist, going back thousands of years, but the most well known consists of seven chakras.
These seven correspond to the nerve network as well as developmental stages of life, body functions, colors, states of consciousness...
and more.
Chakras are aligned along the spine and as stated are energy centers within the body.
They branch out to the central nervous system.
There are three distinct types of energy centers in the body, the lower chakras known as animal, the mid, known as human and the upper, the divine or spiritual.
The Seven Chakras 1) Base Chakra - located at the base of the spine.
This chakra grounds us to the world.
2) Spleen - Slightly below the navel.
This Chakra involves sexuality and reproduction.
3) Solar Plexus - This is where emotions and personal power emanate.
4) Heart - Is where compassion and the immune system response are centered.
5) Throat - Communication and creativity center.
6) Third eye, forehead - Imagination and psychic abilities.
7) The Crown - Understanding, spiritual connection and bliss center.
Chakras describe the intersection of the physical, and metaphysical.
Understanding these relationships can help us to improve our physical body and our spirit by utilizing techniques that focus on unblocking physical and energy barriers.
Tension and stress is detected by the nerves of the plexus associated with a particular chakra, and transmitted to the parts of the body controlled by it.
When the tension continues over a period of time you experience symptoms on the physical level.
Meditation, music, nutrition and exercise can target specific chakras to gain an improved physical, mental and spiritual state.
