- 1). Use soap and water to clean the outside of the truck. Dry the truck off with microfiber cloths.
- 2). Use pieces of painter's tape to mark where to place each piece of vinyl. Measure the distance between the letters using measuring tape.
- 3). Spray down the entire area around where you will be applying the lettering. Peel off the backing on the lettering and spray the sticky side with a light amount of soapy water to activate the adhesive.
- 4). Put each piece of vinyl on the truck. Slide the vinyl pieces around if you need to reposition them.
- 5). Squeegee any bubbles or wrinkles out of the vinyl pieces, starting from the middle and working your way to the edges. Spray the vinyl pieces once more.
- 6). Allow the vinyl lettering to sit on the truck for an hour. Remove the protective coating from the vinyl by pulling it straight up.
