How to Make Glitter Cards

Make a Christmas Tree Glitter Card

    • 1). Take a sheet of card stock and use a knife to score it in the middle.

    • 2). Fold the sheet of card stock in half along the score line.

    • 3). Place a Christmas tree-shaped cookie cutter on the card. Make sure the cookie cutter is upside down with the base of the tree lined up with the card fold.

    • 4). Trace around the cookie cutter and then cut out the shape. Notice how the fold of the card is at the bottom of the Christmas tree, which will ensure that it remains sturdy with multiple openings and closings.

    • 5). Rub the front of the card with a glue stick and then pour on the green glitter. Dip a cotton swap in glue and red glitter to make small ornaments on the tree.

    • 6). Open the card and write a message once the glitter has dried.

    Make a Glittery Star Card

    • 1). Score and fold the card stock in half as you did with the Christmas tree card.

    • 2). Take a glue stick and rub it in the center of the card, and then place a star-shaped cookie cutter over this area.

    • 3). Carefully pour silver-colored glitter inside the cookie cutter.

    • 4). Remove the cookie cutter and allow the glitter star to dry.

    • 5). Color in the space around the star with a green- or red-colored glitter pen.

    • 6). Write a message inside the card once it has dried.

Make a Glitter Heart Card for Valentine's Day

    • 1). Score and fold the card in half as you did with the Christmas cards.

    • 2). Draw half of a heart on the folded card stock and cut it out.

    • 3). Open the heart card up and rub the entire surface with a glue stick.

    • 4). Cover the entire heart-shaped card with red or pink glitter and allow it to dry.

    • 5). Fold the card back in half to make the half-shaped heart, and write a message on the inside for your valentine.

Make a Shamrock Glitter Card for Saint Patrick's Day

    • 1). Score and fold the card stock as you did with the other cards.

    • 2). Use a pencil to draw the shape of the shamrock on the card, but make sure the edge of the top leaf on the shamrock touches the card fold.

    • 3). Cut out the shamrock-shaped card, which will open from the bottom.

    • 4). Rub a glue stick over the front of the card.

    • 5). Pour green glitter over the front of the shamrock and allow it to adhere.

    • 6). Write a personalized message inside the card once the glitter has dried.
