Anngel believed in Magic.
She had no choice.
She was half human; her Father was from London.
Her Mother was something else all together.
She looked human but she wasn't.
Anngel's Mother was the ruler of a place that by human standards should not even exist, but it did.
Anngel was born on her Mother's world.
Magic was real here.
It was a big part of who she was.
Anngel Paced her room, at war with herself.
Conflicted by the immorality of using magic to change another person's thinking and not caring that it was wrong to do so; just as long as she got what she wanted.
Mother would be appalled by what I'm thinking, She thought as she threw herself on her bed and put her face into an over stuffed feather pillow and raged in frustration.
She sat up, red faced and let her despair hammer inside her chest.
Tears streaked her face and dripped from her chin onto her lap, leaving wet stains on her pink silk skirt.
She had to get David back.
She HAD to.
When he left, he'd made a big gaping hole in her heart and in her life.
Things were going so well.
He loved her.
She knew he did; so why did the fact that she was only half human make David leave her? She looked completely human.
No one could tell she wasn't.
She loved him so much that she took a chance and told him the truth about herself.
He'd kissed her then and said it didn't matter.
He loved her; but the next day, instead of waking up next to the man she treasured, she found a simple note that said, ' I'm sorry.
I can't do this.
' It was time to take some action.
Crying wasn't going to bring back David, but, perhaps magic could.
a potion to be exact, and a spell.
She had no experience with things like this and didn't really know how to start.
The Palace library was probably her best bet.
Wiping the tears from her face and shaking the rumples from her skirts, Anngel marched from her room with a new purpose and a determined gleam in her green eyes...
The leather bound book of 'Love Potions and Remedies' was heavy and unlike many of the other books such as 'How to make self cleaning clothes' and 'Purple is for Fairies', it was dust free.
Apparently, she wasn't the only person with a problem in the matter of Love.
Placing the book on a near by table, she opened it up to a random page.
It was the Cure for Love Blindness.
Not quite what she was looking for.
Flipping through the pages, she saw remedies to stop lustful feelings, How to make an undesirable go away.
No, no, no! She fumed.
Where are all the spells for bringing love to you? She flipped to the front of the book and there on the second page was the heading, Lost Love Remedy.
'If your Lover is lost, this will bring them back!' Well, David wasn't exactly 'Lost' but she did Lose him.
Close enough, she thought.
She had no choice.
