- 1). Place the two 2x2x21-inch boards parallel to each other with the outside edges 24 inches apart on a work surface.
- 2). Butt one 2x2x24-inch board against each end of the 2x2x21-inch boards to form a square box.
- 3). Drive two evenly-spaced coated deck screws through the 24-inch boards into the ends of the 21-inch boards at each joint with a screw gun to fasten the wooden frame together.
- 4). Lay the hardware mesh panel over the wooden frame. Slide fender washers over one-inch wood screws and drive them through a space in the mesh into the wood frame at each corner using a screw gun. Drive screws with washers around the perimeter of the frame in the same manner about every two inches.
