Myths About Fat and Muscle

Many people have the wrong idea about fat and muscle.
A lot of younger males trying to get bigger believe that you have to get fat first then turn it into muscle.
(yes I've heard this many times when I was younger).
The truth of the matter is muscle grows in the presence of fat.
Therefore that myth is half true but half is not whole.
Another very popular myth is so popular that it needs to be elaborated on in full detail because it is being drilled into our brains from popular media outlets.
The myth that "Muscle turns into fat when you stop working out" was more than likely made to sell a product to an aging athlete or gym freak that's worried about his/her muscle gained from youth.
The Difference Between Muscle & Fat Muscle and fat are made of two different types of cells so saying that muscle can turn into fat is equivalent to saying a puppy can grow up to be a human being.
It just doesn't make sense.
People that stop working out tend to gain fat quickly because of a little thing we call "The law of thermodynamics" or burning more calories than are being consumed.
Working out requires your body to desire more energy to cope with the energy that is being expended.
This energy comes from high caloric foods.
When a person stops working out, they tend to take in the same amount of calories and calories that are not burned eventually get stored as fat.
What Causes Fat To Expand We have the same number of muscle cells and fat cells regardless of how much we workout.
However, working out less then eating more will cause your fat cells to expand while your muscle cells shrink.
The simple equation to weight loss is taking in less calories than you use.
Taking in more calories than you use will result in an increase of fat.
Developing softer, smaller muscle cells after you stop working out is inevitable but remaining conscience about the law of thermodynamics can help decrease and even prevent the occurrence of more fat.
Weight Loss Myths & Tricks Under no circumstance will your muscles morph to fat because they are mad at you for not working them out anymore.
There are many myths about weight loss that are only geared to take your money in desperation for a quick solution but reading and understanding how the body truly works will help you through the tricks.
