Children can create cards quickly and easily with only a piece of paper and some crayons. Allow extra time for the glue to dry, or use a glue stick. If you keep sugar cookie dough frozen in the freezer, or even if you buy the dough ready to roll out, these quick and delicious heart-shaped sugar cookies can be made by your preschooler in under 15 minutes. Your preschool child will love working the cookie cutter, sprinkling the cookies with pink sugar prior to baking, or even frosting them, if you've got a little bit of extra time. If you keep a bag of chocolates, red hots or other candied treats at home, have your little one fill a small cellophane bag with some of them. Tie the bag off with a ribbon and let your little one include a handwritten note with the treats. Punch a hole in the note and tie onto the bag. These are a great 15-minute valentine craft for preschoolers to take for classmates.
