- 1). Turn off the headlights and the engine. Pull the hood release lever from the inside of the cab. Open the hood and use the hood prop to hold it open while you work.
- 2). Detach the electrical connector from the back of the headlight bulb by pulling it in the direction of the windshield. The bulb is located in the front of the engine compartment in the upper radiator support assembly.
- 3). Twist the bulb retaining ring counterclockwise, as if you were facing the bulb, and slide it off.
- 4). Pull the bulb straight out of the socket. Do not turn the bulb.
- 5). Push the new bulb straight into the socket. Line up the groove in the bulb base with the tab in the socket.
- 6). Slide the bulb retaining ring on the plastic base and twist it clockwise.
- 7). Reattach the electrical connector to the base, pushing until it clicks into place.
