- 1). Navigate your web browser to the Free Application for Financial Student Aid (FAFSA) website to begin your financial aid application (see Resources).
- 2). Click the "Start Here" button and follow the directions provided to set up your account.
- 3). Fill in your financial information as accurately as possible so as to avoid corrections in the future, which can delay your financial aid award.
- 4). Type "003805" when asked to provide a school code. This ensures that your FAFSA results will be sent to Yakima Valley Community College.
- 5). Contact the YVCC financial aid office to inform it that you have completed the FAFSA and that it should be expecting the results.
- 6). Review your financial aid package when presented to you and inform the financial aid office which loans and grants you want to accept and which ones you want to reject.
