Is there anyone else out there getting bored of all this modern horror and misses a good old classic film? The more we watch them, the more we start to figure out where the scares are going to be.
We start to figure out the plot a little easier.
Since this makes a film less scary, I think we start to think about those older films that did get to us.
I must say, there are still some films coming out today that I quite enjoy, like the Orphanage, I really liked that and I'm not the biggest fan of Spain! However I miss stuff like Nightmare on Elm Street, maybe I am just having an early midlife crisis and being nostalgic as that was one of the films that I grew up with, but there was just something about that time.
For instance, if we look at The American Werewolf in London, quality film with a lot of funny bits in it, if you look at the more recent An American Werewolf in Paris, hmm hmm! Don´t get me wrong I don't hate these new films, the Saw saga is something I also like, although I think it should have stopped by now, but I just think there isn't that magic about them anymore, like Frankenstein.
Has anyone seen the video for Dig up her bones by the Misfits, it definitely adds a great touch to a great song! Anyway, let's all hope some of the film companies go back to their roots and make some films we all can enjoy!
