We are entering a sacred season of the Grace of God that will empower us to deal with the inability of the Church to be the salt and light she has been called to be.
The Bride that Jesus is returning for will not be a bride whose garments are drowning in a sea of impotence and sensuality.
His Bride's garments will not be stained with filth of this world.
Eph 5:26-27 26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
KJV Sometime ago I saw a sight so shocking that I did not know what to do about it.
I was attending a well known denomination's biannual assembly when I was taken in the spirit to one of the many bathrooms of the conference center.
As I entered this bathroom it was covered with such filth it was difficult to see how it could have gotten any viler.
Feces hung from the walls and the sinks were smeared with filth, feces, and waste.
The faucets poured forth water that looked like urine mingled with human waste.
You could not step or touch anywhere without it getting on you! Then I saw something that sickened me beyond imagination.
I saw the floor drains beginning to vomit up more feces and urine - and then the ministers in the bathroom got down on their hands and knees and began to drink from this vile mess with relish and delight.
They loved the taste of it and could not get enough.
Isa 28:7-8 7 but they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble in judgment.
8 For all tables are full of vomit and filthiness, so that there is no place clean.
KJV Sadly the horrible and degrading sight that I saw is not limited to this denomination for I have had the privilege to move among many different movements, denominations, and independent ministries, and have found there is no difference.
We all seem to be hungering for anything and everything vile.
At the same time we are rejecting the pure garments of the priesthood.
Perhaps it is not the literal wine that we have thirsted for but we have gotten drunk on another kind of wine just as inflammatory and debilitating.
It is the wine of pride, position, self-seeking, covetousness, pornography, and envy.
Let us understand this.
The Lord will not use the self-righteous men and women who read what I am writing and judge their brothers with unrighteousness and pride.
As though they do not have a streak of hidden iniquity seeking to take control and dominate their thoughts.
In fact the sin of unrighteous judgment is as vile as any that can be imagined.
The Lord hates it! It was these very people who crucified the Lamb of God.
Ps 139:23-24 23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: 24 And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
Who then will the Lord use to lead His beloved Bride into the purity and passion she is called to be? Dear one, it will be the end time John the Baptists who come out of nowhere and who have not eaten from the table of modern Christianity but rather have been hidden in the wilderness and had nothing else to eat but the locusts and wild honey of God's purity and holiness.
They will wear a garment that continually pricks at them so that they cannot get comfortable with things as they are.
They will be the ones who prepare the way of the Lord with a message of Godly conviction that calls for heartfelt repentance.
They will not tickle the hearts but will offend the mind that the hearts might be changed.
Jesus told His disciples that just before His second coming the Lord will send a new breed of Prophets who will come in the power of Elijah with the message of John the Baptist - repent! Matt 17:10-13 10 And His disciples asked Him, saying,"Why then do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?" 11 Jesus answered and said to them, "Indeed, Elijah is coming first and will restore all things.
12 But I say to you that Elijah has come already, and they did not know him but did to him whatever they wished.
Likewise the Son of Man is also about to suffer at their hands.
" 13 Then the disciples understood that He spoke to them of John the Baptist.
There is a new breed of Apostles and Prophets who are coming on the scene.
They are not the immature bless me prophets we have been hearing for the past twenty years.
Rather they will be men and women prepared by God in His wilderness who have learned to hate the iniquity of their own hearts with such passion they have sought the Lord until these things have been rooted out and burned out.
They will not be perfect but will have a passion to be as their Lord.
They will be the Davids who could not stand to see Goliath insult the Army of God and cried when he was ridiculed: 1 Sam 17:29,36 29 And David said, What have I now done? Is there not a cause? 36 Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God.
KJV They will be the Gideons whose hearts are broken and hungry to see the glory and power of God once again fill the Church! Judg 6:13 13 And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the Lord be with us, why then is all this befallen us? And where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the Lord bring us up from Egypt? But now the Lord hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.
KJV They will be the Nehemiahs whose hearts are broken for the fallen walls of holiness and burned gates of purity.
They are only cup-bearers now but whose hearts our great God has seen and is preparing to give the favor, honor, and wealth of this earth to rebuild the Temple of the Lord.
Neh 1:3-4 3 And they said to me, "The survivors who are left from the captivity in the province are there in great distress and reproach.
The wall of Jerusalem is also broken down, and its gates are burned with fire.
" 4 So it was, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned for many days; I was fasting and praying before the God of heaven.
NKJV Why would the Lord choose the Prophet Elijah and John the Baptist to be the type of anointed men and women of God for the last days? Let us remember this, both of these men of God came out of no-where.
They just appear at the right season with great anointing and power.
We see Elijah burst on the scene ready to confront all the false prophets of Baal and John the Baptist has but one message for his generation.
Repent! Now place these two anointings together and we have a picture of the kind of messengers the Lord is preparing for the last days.
Bold, fearless, and uncompromising, they are ready to confront the apostate faith of the day.
They are ready to challenge the Pharisees and Sadducees.
Ready to challenge Ahab and wicked Jezebel, until righteousness flows again and purity is the prize of every heart.
We read of young David who has been driven to the cave of Adullam not because he is sinful or wicked but because those in authority are afraid of his anointing and jealous of his courage.
While David is writing some of the most heart rending Psalms, the Lord is preparing to send him the army he will need for the task of making Jerusalem the joy of the Lord.
1 Chron 12:8, 14-15 8 Some Gadites defected to David at his stronghold in the desert.
They were brave warriors, ready for battle and able to handle the shield and spear.
Their faces were the faces of lions, and they were as swift as gazelles in the mountains.
14 These Gadites were army commanders; the least was a match for a hundred, and the greatest for a thousand.
15 It was they who crossed the Jordan in the first month when it was overflowing all its banks, and they put to flight everyone living in the valleys, to the east and to the west.
Dear man or woman of God, whose heart is aflame for a pure bride for Christ and an army of uncompromising saints, be encouraged for in your loneliness and rejection the Lord is preparing fearless men and women who will stand with you and fight by your side.
We have heard and seen the purposes of the Lord.
We have heard His cry to Prophesy to the breath: Ezek 37:9-10 9 Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord God; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.
10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.
KJV I saw the Lord bring two great cables together.
Cables that carried the power and electricity of the "wells of our fathers" and the "anointing's and callings" of today's Gideon's, John the Baptists, Joshua's, Davids, and Nehemiah's! When they were joined the Glory of the Lord surrounded the place so that they came together in Unity and multitudes were drawn to the Glory! The day for the fulfillment of Isaiah 60:1 is upon us.
Isa 60:1 1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.
