- 1). Shut down the Weathertron if its still in working order. Turn off the power to the device through your electrical box.
- 2). Unscrew the device from the wall. Note which terminals the color-coded wires are connected to.
- 3). Connect the wires to your new device. Secure each terminal. Use the markings on the thermostat to properly connect each wire to a corresponding terminal. On the thermostat, "Y" should stand for yellow, "R" for red, "G" for green and "W" for white.
- 4). Screw the device into the wall using the existing holes from the Weathertron. Drill new holes to fit if you're installing a new model.
- 5). Return to your electrical box and flip the power back on. Program the new device as you see fit once it comes on.
