- 1). Turn the drawer upside down so that the bottom faces you. Position the top plates in each of the four corners for the table legs. Screw the plates into place using the screws that came with it. Place the screw dowel in the center top of each leg into the hole in the middle of each plate and twist it into place until each leg is firmly attached.
- 2). Turn the drawer right side up so it is resting on its new legs.
- 3). Place the foam in the drawer. It should fit snugly. If the drawer's face is taller than the other three sides, the foam will extend above the sides slightly. If you want, spray the adhesive into the bottom inside of the drawer before placing the foam inside.
- 4). Drape the polyester batting over the foam and drawer. Line up one edge of the batting with the inside of the drawer's face, about one inch below the top edge. Trim the rest of the batting so that it reaches under the ottoman drawer on three sides.
- 5). Fold the fabric in half lengthwise. Position the folded edge of the fabric on top of the polyester batting on the inside of the drawer face. The rest of the fabric should completely cover the batting and stretch over the other three sides of the ottoman.
- 6). Staple the batting and fabric to the inside of the drawer face, starting in the center and working your way out to each edge. Pull the fabric and batting taut as you work. Use a staple that is short enough to not poke through the outside of the drawer face.
- 7). Turn the ottoman over so that the bottom and legs face you. Pull the three sides of the fabric and batting tightly underneath the ottoman. Staple the sides in place, starting in the middle of the left side, then in the middle of the right, and then in the middle of third side. Space your staples about one inch apart and work your way to the corners on each side. Keep the fabric pulled tightly so that it is smooth on the top.
- 8). Turn the ottoman right side up when you are done stapling. Position the ottoman so that the drawer face is away from the chair.
