- 1). Launch the OpenOffice "Writer" word processing application.
- 2). Click "Tools" on the main program menu.
- 3). Select "Options" followed by "Language Settings" and then "Writing Aids."
- 4). Click the check-box beside the dictionary that you want to edit in the "User-Defined Dictionaries" pane. Click the "Edit" button.
- 5). Scroll through the alphabetical list of dictionary words to find the word you want to delete.
- 6). Click the word to highlight it. Click the "Delete" button.
