We are in trouble, Of this we agree, Is it a wonder, Why don't we see? Those who are famous, We strive to be them, We forget our importance, Here evil does stem.
We cherish our heroes, We rise from our seat, We marvel their glory, Then jump to our feet.
But what of the hero, Who doesn't seek fame, Who follows his quest, And plays his own game.
He works long and hard, Without the applause, Nothing will stop him, To fight a just cause.
People are hungry, And illness can kill, Our hero never waivers, His heart gives him will.
The actor his handsome, The sportsman is rich, A greater hero needed, To get out of our ditch.
Life as we know it, Is close to its end, Pray my good friends, A hero to send.
He won't have a uniform, Or even a cape, He might hold his glasses, Together with tape.
He won't be quite studly, But he'll know what's right, The sacrifice and effort, To rise from this plight.
Large crowds will not know him, But the Lord, He will know, Our country will He save, Though its people are slow.
So think of the guy, Who seems quite a mess, His time is for others, To ease a great stress.
So I will be working, And trying for pure, Education and reason, A hero for sure.
