How to Hook Up to Netflix

    • 1). Connect the Netflix-ready device to the television per the device manufacturer's instructions.

    • 2). Connect the device to an Internet connection per the device manufacturer's instructions. Some devices, including the Xbox 360 and Wii, can connect to a wireless connection by entering a password, while others, such as the Sony Network Media Player, require a USB LAN connector to connect the device to the router.

    • 3). Open the Netflix application after the device has connected to the Internet.

    • 4). Follow the instructions on the Netflix-ready device to receive an activation code.

    • 5). Open Netflix's website on a computer. Click "Your Account & Help" at the top-right corner of the window.

    • 6). Click "Activate a Netflix-ready device" under "Watching Instantly on Your TV or Computer."

    • 7). Enter the code in the box and click "Activate." After a moment, you will be able to access your instant queue, add to it and watch Netflix's streaming content from your television.

    Smartphone or iPad

    • 1). Open the device's application store on the device.

    • 2). Type "Netflix" in the search box.

    • 3). Tap the button to download it to your phone or iPad. The application is free, but may take up to several minutes to download.

    • 4). Open the Netflix application.

    • 5). Type your Netflix account's information in the appropriate boxes to log in. After a moment, you will be able to access Netflix's streaming content and your instant queue from your smartphone or iPad.
