- 1). Measure the height of the toga wearer. Cut the fabric in a rectangle so the width is equal to the height of the toga wearer and the length is three times the length of his height.
- 2). Find the midpoint of your material. Dot the upper middle of the fabric with tailor's chalk. Draw a semi circle that falls downward from either side of he midpoint. Cut out the semi-circle and set excess fabric aside.
- 3). Tuck the raw edges of the fabric about two centimeters under on the back side of the toga. Repeat by folding in 2 centimeters, so no raw edge is visible. Use sewing pins to secure the edges. Iron on high setting to set the crease.
- 4). Sew the edges beneath the semi-circle by hand or machine, using a straight stitch, so that the circle is even and no raw edges are visible.
- 5). Place one end of the semi-circle at the left shoulders and wrap the fabric around the body and under the right arm. Drape the rest of the fabric over the front of the torso and pin at the left shoulder. Arrange the folds of the fabric so that the dress appropriately covers the body.
