- 1). Drive the car to a level surface.
- 2). Shift the gear lever into "Park" and turn off the engine.
- 3). Remove the jack and wheel wrench from the trunk. They are located with the spare tire.
- 4). Loosen the lug nuts on the tire with the wheel wrench. Do not remove them yet.
- 5). Locate the hoisting notch on the plastic molding on the underside of the STS's frame near the wheel well. The notch is marked with a triangle. The jack will fit firmly into the notch. There is a diagram in your owner's manual if you have trouble finding it.
- 6). Lower the jack with the wheel wrench until it can easily slide under the car. Place it directly under the notch so that the slots of the jack head will fit into the metal grooves behind the triangle on the plastic molding.
- 7). Turn the wheel wrench clockwise to raise the vehicle.
- 8). Unscrew and remove all the lug nuts and remove the tire.
