Credit Report - How to Get It

Your credit report is that important financial document (more like a score sheet) that different decision-makers use in making assessment of our financial prudence before granting our various requests.
There used to be a time when only the financial institutions were the ones who required it.
However, employers and landlords are increasingly becoming dependent on this document.
Getting a copy of your credit report is not a problem.
However, it is important that you get a copy in order to get a view of what your current financial status looks like.
It is only when you know how creditworthy you are that you'll be able to take advantage of loans, and also take actions to repair your file if there is any damaging information on it.
You have three files from the three major bureaus: Experian, Transunion and Equifax.
The way to get them is to apply through "annualcreditreport dot com" where you'll be given the 3-in-1 copy.
All you need do is visit the site and provide simple information such as your firstname, surname, and social security number for access to your 3files.
Once you've downloaded your files, take time to read through all three carefully and make note of any negative entry you discover on any of them.
Remember that the 3bureuas operate independently, so if you find a particular negative account you want to remove on more than one of your file, then you'll have to get rid of the account from every file it is recorded.
Merely deleting a collection on your Experian, for instance, will not remove it from your Equifax if you do not take the same action on your Equifax file.
To get rid of any negative entry on any of your files, you'll be using disputing the information with the bureaus using either self-help to fix your file or signing up with a reputable repair agency.
Remember that between 75% to 80% of all files contain errors.
Therefore you should take advantage of your ability to restore your own creditworthiness.
Good luck!
