5 Known Fraudulent Data Entry Schemes and How to Avoid Them

In recent years the number of scam artists and fraudsters have grown tremendously, so it is very important to do all your research when trying to find a genuine online job.
Below you will find 5 known fraudulent data entry schemes and find out exactly how to avoid them.
Data Entry Scheme #1.
This first scam is brilliant.
someone actually builds a dummy duplicate payment page of a popular data entry website and then attaches the payment page to the website in order to steal each customers money from the sign up page.
So when the person visits the actual website and clicks on the payment page to sign up they end up paying the fraudster rather then the actual company.
Then they email the real company to get their user name and password and the real websites owners have never heard of them and have no record of payment.
So the customer loses their money and gets nothing.
How To Avoid This: Make sure to always check who you are paying.
The person who did this did it through PayPal and used the name of the website but his email address was a yahoo email and did not match the domain name of the site.
This one is tricky to spot so always make sure the payment email matches the domain name before submitting any money.
Data Entry Scheme #2.
someone sends you a compelling email telling you about this great online opportunity but in order to get the discount price you must sign up from by clicking on the payment link or banner from within the email.
How To Avoid This: Simple.
NEVER make a payment for ANY company through an email.
Always make sure to go to the main website.
Do not click on the link through the emails either.
You can visit the site by copy/pasting the web URL into your search bar and this will bring up the actual site.
Data Entry Scheme #3.
There are also a lot people out there that simply copy the text from another popular data entry website and pass themselves off as a data entry expert and really know nothing about the program they are selling to you whatsoever.
This is very scary because when most people see a nicely designed website, they automatically assume that these are experts in that field only to find out that all they are good at is building websites.
Believe it or not, this is a very common tale and a lot of people do this so don't be fooled.
How To Avoid This: Always send the company an email before you join and ask them questions about the program.
You should be able to immediately tell from their answers if they know what their talking about.
Also make sure their answers don't sound like they just copied it from a newsletter.
It should sound genuine and personalized to you.
Data Entry Scheme #4.
The third scam artists are the ones who tell you to sign up for a work from home job then when you join the program all it really is- is a long outdated list of companies hiring and there is no real job at all.
This ones a bummer and happens quite frequently.
How to Avoid This: Make sure to ask the company if this is just a list of jobs that you have to apply to or if the jobs are actually guaranteed and if they provide you with training.
Most companies will tell you if you ask because most people don't bother to ask.
Data Entry Scheme #5.
I actually fell for this one many years ago and this was a very popular scam at the time.
This scam is sort of like a pyramid scheme to where you see an advertisement that says make $300-$500 per week just by typing documents and doing data entry.
Then when you go to the website and pay the one time fee, They give you directions on how to build a free duplicate site of the original site you just signed up with (looks identical to their site) You advertise this on the web and get people to buy it the same as you did by telling them the same thing.
You place ads online telling them they can make $300-$500 per week by doing data entry and all they are doing is building the same free website you did and advertise it.
This just goes on and on and on..
That is supposedly the job.
What a joke.
How to Avoid This: Simple.
Ask them if you will be advertising a duplicate site of theirs and then ask them to explain exactly what the job entails.
If you ask them straight out, 9 times out of ten if their guilty they will not answer you at all.
If you don't get a reply or the reply doesn't give you a straight answer then I would definitely run the other direction.
I'm sure there are quite a few other scams out there but these are the most common ones I've seen aside from scam #1.
