With a hard durable surface, with a thin plastic screen shield, touch-screen devices are less prone to screen damage than devices using LCD technology. Moreover, the resilient and easy-to-use nature of touch-screen devices make them suitable for users of all ages and skill levels.

Since touch-screen products like computer monitors and cellular phones do not require a keyboard, their overall size may be reduced.
