San Francisco's Mission District has hundreds of restaurants. According to the SFmission website, the district has 58 Zagat-rated restaurants, eateries given the highest reviews by their patrons. Mission District restaurants offer visitors and residents alike the opportunity to sample a wide variety of international foods. Cuisines served in the Mission include Salvadorian, Indian and Pakistani, French, Breton and Italian and Asian. - Pakwan Restaurant serves Pakistani and Indian Halal foods. The restaurant has a location on 16th Street that serves a selection of appetizers, vegetarian dishes, Biryani and Tandoori specials. Appetizers include papadum, vegetarian Samosas and raita--seasoned yogurt. Vegetarian dishes at Pakwan include Aloo palak, bengan Bharta and mirch salan--roast pepper curry with tamarind. Pakwan's Tandoori specials include Seekh Kabab, Bihari Boti Kabab and Tandoori lamb chops. Pakwan also features five types of Nan and two desserts. The three Biryani dishes at Pakwan include chicken, lamb and vegetable Biryani, all cooked with spices and layered with Basmati rice.

The restaurant opened in 1998 and has a trendy and hip atmosphere. Tokyo Go Go has a dinner menu, dessert menu, drink menu and sushi/sashimi menu. The dinner menu includes oysters on the half-shell, tuna and salmon tartare, white tuna escabeche and chilled green tea soba noodles served with Japanese eggplant, hijiki seaweed and crunchy lotus root. Limón has six menus--brunch, lunch, dinner, beverages, desserts and a prix fixe (fixed price) menu. Selections on the lunch menu include various ceviche and salads, hot dishes such as lomo saltado, pescados limón and anticucho de pollo--grilled chicken skewers with sweet potato fries and aji amarillo-huacatay sauce. The prix fixe menu includes four courses starting with salad or ceviche as the first course, appetizers as the second course and the main entrée and dessert as courses three and four. Desserts at Limón include bandido--warm chocolate cake with light strawberry compote, vanilla ice cream, caramel tuile and chocolate sauce--and profiteroles.
