- 1). Open Paint, click "Image" and select "Attributes." Set your poster dimensions, such as 18 inches by 24 inches for a standard frame size, and click "OK."
- 2). Click the "Paintbrush" tool, select the large square brush head and choose a paint color from the "Color Picker" at the bottom of the screen. Draw the outline of a cross in the middle of the poster. Switch paint colors, color in part of the cross, switch paint colors and color in more of the cross. Continue switching colors until the cross is entirely filled in with different colors, like stained glass.
- 3). Click the "Text" tool, which looks like an "A" and click in the space at the top of the poster. Select a font and make the size "100." Type the poster headline, such as "Janofsky Church Collections Accepted Monday through Friday" or "Special Sermon Tonight."
- 4). Move your cursor below the cross and click again, typing more information about the event, holiday, meeting or recruitment effort. Change font sizes and colors as preferred.
- 5). (Optional) Click towards the bottom right of the poster and add contact information for the minister or outreach leader, such as a name, phone number or email address, or add hours for confessionals and other visiting times.
- 6). Click the "Paintbrush" tool and select the small round brush head. Select a new paint color and draw the outline of two praying hands near the text information on the poster, which should draw the viewers' eyes.
- 7). (Optional) Click the "Text" tool, select a new font and size and click in the bottom left corner of the poster. Add your church's name.
