I've been reading a few books on Eastern medicine and when they talk about candida, they say that it can be caused by an imbalance in the masculine and feminine sides (yin and yang).
Apparently the right side of the body is the masculine side and the left side of the body is the feminine side.
If there is an imbalance in men, then they tend to have problems with their feminine side (left hand side) and women have problems with their masculine side (right hand side).
Amazingly, when I looked at this theory for a case I found on my friend, I found that all her problems are down her left hand side as predicted (pain in left of stomach area, left eye weakest, athelete's foot/nail fungus on left foot, problems with her left knee and left Achilles tendon).
Also, when I asked someone I know who used to have a bad candida problem, she said that her problems were down the right hand side, as predicted for a woman.
So, I'd be interested in who agrees with this theory and who doesn't - what do you think? On another example, my another friend's right leg is shorter than the left, her arthritic hip is her right one, most of her endo pain is on the right side, her candida itching is mainly on the right side, her right eye is worst than her left, so again, maybe the theory in the book is right! However, no theories are perfect.
There is this woman who hates to blow this theory out of the water: all her problems are down her left side.
She is most definitely not a bloke and her left side has always been the weakest by far.
Most of her troubles are on her left side candida wise.
Could this mean she is more masculine than she thought? Does it mean her hormones are 'out of whack'? Who knows.
I'm not that serious about this theory as you can see.
