- 1). Cut holes in the boxes, in the middle, which fit the diameter of the pipe and can be fed over the rounded object.
- 2). Feed one box on to the pipe, bringing it all the way to the bottom of the system.
- 3). Shovel manure into the box. Wearing gloves, press the manure to pack it firmly inside.
- 4). Feed the next box on to the pipe and pack it again with manure as in Step 3. Place manure over the area between the two boxes, packing it tightly to prevent any pipe exposure to air.
- 5). Repeat Steps 2 through 4 until the entire pipe is covered. Ensure there is no exposure by the pipe to air by thoroughly covering it with manure, in both the front and the back as well.
- 6). Renew this procedure every winter, as manure loses its heating properties after one season.
