- 1). Climb into your pickup's cargo bed.
- 2). Spray auto wax and grease remover on one half of the truck bed (the left side or the right), including the side wall and the front wall. Let the product sit for the time recommended on the DupliColor bed liner package instructions. Wipe the remover up with shop cloths. Repeat for the second half of the truck bed, changing to clean shop cloths when one is dirty.
- 3). Grasp a scuffing pad in one hand. Use a scrubbing motion from the front to the rear of the truck bed, including the front wall and side walls. This process places light scratches on the surface so the bed liner will adhere properly.
- 4). Sweep the pickup bed, then wipe any excess loose material out of the truck bed and sides with a shop cloth.
- 5). Pull the loose end of a blue painter's tape roll out about 6 inches. Place the edge of the tape on the top of the right side of the truck bed, aligning the edge with the horizontal side of the bed. Walk to the rear of the bed, pulling the tape roll as you are walking and smoothing the tape in a straight line onto the top of the right side of the pickup's bed wall. Do the same for the other side and for the front of the bed and the tailgate.
- 6). Shake a can of DupliColor bed liner to mix it thoroughly. Stand in the middle of the truck bed. Depress the top on the spray can and direct it at the front left corner. Use long strokes, moving from the front of the cab to the middle, overlapping slightly on each pass. Work from left to right on the front half. Exit the truck bed and repeat this process for the back half of the bed.
- 7). Stand in the truck bed center after letting the bed liner dry for one hour. Coat the sides and front of the truck bed in the same manner as you did the bottom. Spray the inside of the tailgate using the same process.
- 8). Spray additional coats after letting the product cure for one hour. Wait one hour after the final application before removing the tape and using the truck.
