ATV trails are popular places during weekends and holidays, and almost every state is home to several popular trails. Arkansas is no exception, and if you're an ATV enthusiast and haven't been to Arkansas yet, there are some new trails for you to discover. Suitable rails are available for riders of any skill level. - The Ouachita mountains span between Arkansas and Oklahoma, and are full of ATV trails for you to explore. The trails available to ATV riders are open to other trail users as well, such as horseback riders and mountain bikers. Care must be taken to ensure the safety of everyone who uses the trail system. There are many trails in this system, such as the Bear Creek trail in Daisy State Park. A 31-mile long trail, it can be accessed from four different locations, and has sections that are perfect for beginner riders. It also has steep and rugged sections that are marked as challenging. Ouachita mountain trails also include the Kiamichi Ridge Trail, the Broken Bow trails and several others.
- Nearby the Ouchita Mountains is the Ouchita National Forest. Here, you can find the Wolf Pen Gap Trail Complex. There are miles of trails in the Wolf Pen trail series that are rated as beginner level, intermediate or advanced. A variety of campgrounds in the area allows people to tent camp, park an RV or rent cabins.
- The Ozark-St. Francis national forests are home to an ATV trail. The trail is set up to make it easy for you to choose how long you want to ride. There are a number of inside loops that are attached to the main trail so you can make an outing as long or as short as you want. The main trail is 27 miles long. This trail has sections that are rated suitable for beginners, but has other sections that are rated as "most difficult."
- There are several miles of ATV trails in the Craigshead Forest Park. These are dedicated ATV trails that allow ATV riders to ride without worrying about other types of vehicles and recreation on the trail. If you want to use the ATV trails there is a dedicated ATV parking area. One street before the access to the park there is a turnoff to the parking area that riders are asked to use.
