Bridal Hairstyles With Clips & Veils

    Updo

    • Classic updos are timeless hairstyles that suit a range of veils and clips. Neat, simple updos, such as buns and chignons, work well with long veils that are placed over the hairstyle. A single jeweled, vintage inspired hair clip secured onto one side helps to soften the look and add interest. Intricate, more elaborate updo styles, such as French twists and curly updos, can be emphasized and shown off by placing a long veil at the back of the head underneath or behind the updo. Sleeker styles and long length veils are best suited for brides with round faces, while fuller styles and veils help to falter narrow faces.

    Loose

    • Loose, flowing hair in soft curls or straight locks creates a stunning and romantic look for brides on their wedding day. Most veils suit loose bridal hairstyles, but make sure your chosen veil is longer than the length of your hair and is not too heavy. Consider bigger, more dramatic clips, such as a single large flower, pinned to one side of your hair to adorn and add glamour to the style. Alternatively, smaller, delicate clips help to highlight your hairstyle. Make sure that your chosen accessories do not compete for attention with your hair. Keep your hair firmly in place throughout the wedding by spraying with hairspray and using styling products.

    Half-Up Half-Down

    • Half-up half-down styles are elegant and stylish options for brides who do not want their hair up or completely loose. Straighten your hair or curl it into soft waves before gently scraping back the front section of your hair and pinning to the top of your head. Choose pretty, delicate jeweled clips to secure the front section of hair to your head and flatter the style. Consider selecting clips that match the detail on your wedding dress to compliment its design.

    Short

    • Shorter bridal hairstyles work well with a huge variety of decorative hair clips and veils. For a formal look, add a selection of small, sparkly clips to a cropped hairstyle. Feathered and floral clips help to create a more relaxed, romantic look for short hairstyles. Both long and short veils work well with short hairstyles and can be dressed up with enhancing hair accessories.
