- 1). Minimize your current Web browser window or move it out of the way using your mouse to expose any Web windows open in the background. The "Minimize" button is one of three on the upper right corner of the window: it is marked with a horizontal line that looks like an underscore.
- 2). Click on the red "X" in the corner of the browser window you wish to close to remove it from the screen.
- 3). Click the tab of any website you wish to close at the top of your browser window. Many tabs may be included in a single browser window. Each one displays part of the title of the website it has opened.
- 4). Click on the "X" that appears when you click the tab to close the Internet site it has opened.
