- 1). Start Windows Movie Maker on your computer, click "File" and select "Open." Navigate to the location of the Windows Movie Maker project file that you want to remove subtitles from. Skip this step if you already have the project loaded into Windows Movie Maker.
- 2). Right-click the subtitle in the "Title Overlay" section of the timeline at the bottom of the program, if you added the title on the clip; or in the "Video" section, if you added the title to the beginning or end of the clip. Titles that appear in the "Video" section appear with a blue backdrop while titles that appear in the "Title Overlay" section appear with a clear backdrop over the video. A drop-down menu will appear.
- 3). Scroll down and select "Delete." The subtitle will disappear.
