Its interface is deficient to provide some features like you can not rate the items, you can not synchronize from more than one PC and you will only get partial games and radio support.
Its movie search box also lacks the option to search local networks and hard drives.
You can only watch rented movies on Apple TV which is different to iTunes rentals in which one can transfer these iTunes to any video-enabled iPod or Apple TV.
In 2008, a software update was launched which allowed users of this device to download and purchase iTunes without using computer connection.
This update also enabled its users to rent HD standard resolution movies along with surround system of Dolby Digital 5.
