• Just 7 miles west of Brenham, Artesian Park RV Campground offers its sites to RVs as well as semi trucks. The campground has almost 50 sites with full hook-ups and most of them are pull-through. For electricity, 20-, 30- or 50-amp hook-ups are available. Some sites also have a phone jack. On site there are sports facilities where visitors can enjoy playing volleyball, basketball, badminton and horseshoes as well as a recreation hall, a playground for kids, a laundry room and showers For your business needs, a computer station and a fax machine are also available. Lake Somerville Marina and Campground

• If you are interested in fishing, head to the Lake Somerville Marina and Campground where anglers have the chance to catch crappie, bass, bluegill and stripers. The campground offers 68 RV sites as well as cabins, tent sites, boat storage and a marina with a boat ramp. The RV sites are all pull-through and have water and electricity. Both 30- and 50-amp sites are available. In addition to camping and fishing, guests can also enjoy hiking along the Lake Somerville State Park Trailway. Dixieland RV Park

• Dixieland RV Park offers 40 RV sites with full hook-ups, and a RV repair service is located within camp. Both 30- and 50-amp sites are available. The maximum RV length is 60 feet. The campground has shower and laundry facilities as well as a clubhouse where groups can gather for special events. For long-term stays, ask them about their weekly and monthly rates. They also apply discounts for members of travel and camping clubs, including Passport America, Campclub USA and Thousand Trails. The RV park hosts the annual Spring Antique Fair and the nearby town of Carmine is home to several antique and folk art shops.
