- 1). Raise the car wheel off the ground using a car jack. Refer to your car's manual for the correct spot to position the jack correctly and safely.
- 2). Remove the lug nuts from the wheel using the lug wrench, placing the lug nuts somewhere safe. Remove the wheel from the vehicle to reveal the lug studs.
- 3). Apply lubricant to the lug stud or studs that need to be removed and wait five minutes for the lubricant to take effect.
- 4). Firmly strike the lug stud with the hammer until the stud is free from the vehicle.
