- 1). Select the mode for your game. You must play the game in "Story Mode," not "Free Mode." Story Mode will help you to impress and unlock Tadakatsu Honda.
- 2). Kill Lu Bu once he arrives. Let the peasants escape from the village. Make sure that the peasants are alive and not harmed.
- 3). Kill the men in the top and bottom bases. Clear out all of the troops until there are none left. Navigate east and defeat the two generals at Base Captain.
- 4). Navigate south. Kill Lu Bu once again before he kills the peasants. Wait for the peasants to escape the area.
- 5). Wait for Tadakatsu to appear. Defeat him within two minutes of seeing him. Navigate to the southern fort and save the Honda family members.
- 6). Kill Yuan Shu and Kojuro Katakura. Kill Lu Bu when he appears. Escort the messenger to the northeast fort.
- 7). Kill all the generals and Lu Bu. Wait for the messenger to run off unscathed. Wait for the message that Tadakatsu Honda is impressed.
