  With over 100 spas listed in the Manta business directory, there are many establishments for consumers interested in obtaining spa services in Maryland. However, like any other business, spas vary in quality. Several have been voted the best by authors of newspaper articles, magazine articles and books.
  
  

Stillwater Spa

• The Stillwater Spa is part of the AAA four-diamond Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa and Marina. Located in Cambridge, Still Water Spa resides in an 18,000 square-foot facility. The resort's website indicates that the spa was voted "One of the Best Spas In the Mid-Atlantic Region" by Southern Living Magazine. The spa was also mentioned in "100 Best Family Resorts in North America: 100 Quality Resorts with Leisure Activities for Children and Adults" by Janet Tice and Jane Wilford.
  
  Guests can choose 8 different massages, including the 90-minute Raven's View Massage, which is performed in a private rooftop lighthouse that overlooks the Choptank River. Over 10 different facials are available, including the 90-minute protein-rich Caviar Facial.
  
  Specialized options include the Baby-on-Board Facial, which addresses hyper-pigmentation and skin breakouts due to pregnancy hormonal changes. Golfer's Retreat and Waterman's Facials are specifically designed to meet the unique skin care needs of men. Body waxes, wraps, scrubs, manicures and pedicures are also available.

Studio 921 Salon and Day Spa

Robert Andrew Salon and Spa

• Located in central Maryland in Gambrills, the Robert Andrew Salon and Spa is located between Baltimore and Washington D.C. The winner of numerous accolades, including the 2007 Washingtonian Magazine "Spas We Love," this spa provides 15 different facials, 6 body wraps and 14 massages. Notable services include the Mediterranean Glow facial, which uses mud that is mixed with mineral salts as well as Body Silk, which uses natural sea salts to exfoliate skin, and the body detox is available.
