- 1). Dodge Ultimo when he swings his fairly slow-moving fist at War Machine.
- 2). Move low or high to avoid Ultimo's eye-lasers. Energy activity inside Ultimo's mouth indicates he's about to launch an energy wave. Move to the side to avoid those attacks. When Ultimo raises his hand, he's preparing a missile launch.
- 3). Deflect the missile, which will cause Ultimo to stagger.
- 4). Approach Ultimo from above and target areas along his upper back that have green circles on them. Blast those areas until the circles turn red and disappear.
- 5). Hit "B" to land on Ultimo's back and pull a piece of his armor off. Repeat this with each target on his back until you trigger a cut scene. After the cut scene, take control of Iron Man inside of Ultimo.
- 6). Circle around Kearson DeWitt and attack him with missile bursts. Use speed burst to dodge his spinning charges. Dodge the three turrets that pop up. Go to the lowest level, then the outer ring, and circle and blast the turrets until another cut scene is shown. You'll control War Machine again outside of Ultimo.
- 7). Target multiple reactors on the front of Ultimo and blast them with missile volleys. Weaken them as much as possible before diving into Ultimo's chest area to tear out the reactors. After you remove about four or five, you will activate another cut scene. You'll take control of Iron Man again.
- 8). Use the same strategy against DeWitt and his turrets. This will trigger the final cut scene.
- 9). Fly War Machine up to Ultimo's head and fire everything you have at it. If he is hit with enough firepower fast enough, he will be defeated.
