- 1). Set your halo projector headlights on a work table and for each one, gather up the white and black wires from behind the headlight assembly into one pair of white wires and one pair of black wires. The white wires are the neutral wires and the black wires are the positive wires.
- 2). Strip the ends of the white and black wires to reveal bare copper. Twist the bare copper from each pair of white and black wires around each other.
- 3). Install a crimp connector over the ends of the twisted black and white wires and crimp down on the necks of the crimp connector with your pliers to properly seat it. Keep the male head of the crimp connector uncrimped for later use. Wrap the neck of the crimp connector in electrical tape to ensure moisture stays out of the wires.
- 4). Install a crimp connector on the end of the spare red wire from the halo projector headlights and a crimp connector on the spare black wire from the halo projector headlights. Keep the female heads of the crimp connectors uncrimped for later use.
- 5). Connect the positive end of your volt meter to your car battery.
- 6). Hold the wiring harness from the car that went into the previous headlight assembly in your hand. Test each wire running from the wiring harness for power by touching the negative end of the voltmeter to the lead in the wiring harness. Determine which wire has power based on the voltmeter readings.
- 7). Connect the spare red wire with the crimp connector onto the wire from the wiring harness of the car that has the power running through it, determined by the voltmeter test. Connect these two wires using a quick connector. Clamp the wires together through the quick connector using your pliers. Repeat this process for the black wire with the crimp connector and the wire from the wiring harness of the car that was determined to be neutral.
- 8). Insert the female head of the crimp connector on the red wire to the male head of the crimp connector on the white wires from the halo projector headlights. Insert the female head of the crimp connector from the black wire running out of the quick connector of the wiring harness from the car to the male head of the crimp connector on the black wires from the halo projector headlights.
