- 1). Pour water into a spray bottle. This water will be a lubricant to help you remove the caulk.
- 2). Spray down the caulk around the window frames in small sections at a time.
- 3). Use a razor knife to scrape away the caulk, adding more water as necessary. Be careful not to damage the window frame beneath the caulk.
- 4). Saturate the remaining bits of caulk in a commercial caulk remover. Leave it on for several hours or as long as the manufacturer suggests.
- 5). Remove the remainder of the caulk with your razor knife, again applying water as needed.
- 6). Wipe down your window frames with a cloth soaked in isopropyl alcohol. Let it dry completely before applying new caulk.
