- 1). Combine 1/4 cup all purpose cleanser in a bucket with 1 gallon of water. Dip a scrub brush in the mixture and wring it out. Wipe down the backsplash area of your kitchen, removing caked on grease and dust. Pat it dry with a paper towel.
- 2). Place your panel of stained glass in the area of your backsplash where you would like it to be. Adjust it to make sure it is centered. Mark the placement of the four corners with a pencil.
- 3). Secure the panel to the backsplash using a hand drill is the panel has a metal border with holes for screws. If not pound a 1 inch nail underneath the two bottom corners, half way in. Bend the nail with your hammer so that it presses against the panel. Pound another nail above each of the top corners, bending the nail once it's halfway in, so that the nails press the panel in place.
- 4). Pound two more nails in, one at the top center of the panel and another at the bottom center of the panel. Once each nail is halfway into the wall, bend and pound it carefully, flattening it against the panel to give it further support.
