This story takes place in 2004. My mother died in June 2004. (She was not my biological mother, but my aunt who raised me since diapers, and I miss her very much!) She lived outside of Glouster, Ohio and I lived next door in a 24-ft. by 24-ft. cabin. We were very close.
Right after she died, I would be at home at night on the computer and would smell her perfume. I knew she was around all the time.
I felt her there in my little cabin.
One day I went to the store for a few things. When I got home to put things away in the bathroom, including three bars of soap and three cakes Tidy Bowl. I put one bar of soap in the shower and one cake of Tidy Bowl in the water tank of the toilet. Now, I live alone; no one comes in without me knowing it and no one has a key but myself and my mom. The next morning I went to get a bar of soap to put in the kitchen... and it was gone. So was the Tidy Bowl. Strange, it was there yesterday!
I tore that cabin apart, inside and out. I looked through my Jeep, but nothing. I called my gal Donna and she came over and we both looked for them because one minute they were there and the next gone. We found nothing. I said to Donna, "They will turn up."
She went home and later that night I was at the computer and again smelled my mom. I got to thinking she took them! So with a high voice I said, "Bring my stuff back!"
Time went on. I got tired and went to bed. The next morning I went to the toilet to pee, and just a few inches in front of me is the cabinet, so I opened the door and there are my two bars of soap and my two cakes of Tidy Bowl.
I smiled and said, "Thanks, mom." Not real scary, but still it's a ghost story.
