- 1). Place the ATG 714 on its right side and find the cover release latch. The latch is on the side edge of the cover between the dispenser rollers and the upper handle. Press the latch with your thumb and open the cover. The cover will fold back, but stays on the dispenser gun.
- 2). Pull the white ring off the tape roll wheel at the front of the gun. This is where the new reel of tape installs. The white ring is the previous roll of tape.
- 3). Turn the lock spindle on the rear wheel counterclockwise and lift it away from the wheel. Pull off tape backing from the wheel. This is where the backing of the tape wraps when dispensing the tape.
- 4). Unstick the end of the new tape from the tape roll and unroll two full winds of tape. Place the tape roll over the front wheel with the loose end pointing toward the handle of the tape gun.
- 5). Thread the end of the tape over the first dispenser roller and under the second dispenser roller. Pull the tape around the second dispenser roller and over the new tap roll until the end is at the rear wheel.
- 6). Thread the edge of the tape end in and out of the notches around the center hub of the rear wheel. Firmly press the sticky end of the tape against the outside of the hub. Place the lock hub over the center of the rear wheel and turn it clockwise until it locks. Close the ATG 714 dispenser cover.
