Almost every driver at one time or another has driven through really thick fog or during a heavy rainstorm and has had problems seeing more than a few feet in front of them. Because of these conditions, car manufacturers have started installing fog lights onto vehicles which allow the driver to see better in poor conditions with low visibility. There are a variety of fog lights on the market today. - Hella manufactures a variety of both driving lights and fog lights and is noted for their design, engineering and quality. The FF series is one of the most popular fog lights on the market. The Hella 500 features rugged construction and uses a vapor-coated reflector and halogen bulbs. The kits start at $89.95 as of October 2010 and include two lamps, two bulbs, two stone shields, color-coated wiring and an illuminated rocker switch.
- Vision X manufactures a line of halogen-series fog lights in a variety of shapes, sizes and designs such as the four-inch chrome 55-watt halogen spot beam and the six-inch 100-watt halogen euro beam.
