- 1). Disconnect the power cord from the electrical socket.
- 2). Turn off the water faucets connected to the washing machine. Disconnect the water inlet hoses from the back of the machine. Place the ends of the hoses in a bucket to collect any remaining water.
- 3). Slide the machine away from the wall so you can access the back.
- 4). Remove the screws around the edges of the rear service panel. Lift the panel off the washer cabinet.
- 5). Rotate the drive pulley by hand. Slide the drive belt off the pulley with the other hand. Pull the belt off the motor shaft.
- 6). Position the new belt around the motor shaft. Loop the other end around the large drive pulley.
- 7). Replace the rear service panel. Install the screws that hold the panel in place.
