Today's Inspiring Thought: Face Your Fears
Like most of us, Timothy needed encouragement to overcome his fears in ministry. Paul knew that courage and enthusiasm would be required for him to succeed, along with power, love, and self-control.
Usually, the only way we take hold of the courage and strength that God has already given us, is to face our fears head-on.
Eleanor Roosevelt wrote in You Learn By Living, "You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.' You must do the thing you think you cannot do."
