One of the great benefits to internet marketing is that you have a lot of free resources to use. Two of those are Squidoo and Blogspot which are probably the two best free blogging resources we can use. Each of them have great benefits and a few disadvantages which I will go over here.
Starting with Squidoo, this site provides a lot of extras that you can use to monitize your site. They are well liked by Google and can rank well if you use good search engine optimization. There are modules that you use to add content to your site, such as for writing, Amazon, Ebay, guest books and many more.
On the negative side are all the ads that can distract your visitors from what you may be promoting. But, when someone clicks these adds Squidoo shares the revenue with you. This way you can make some extra income on top of what you may be selling.
Blogspot also provides extra content you can use on their blogs. They are owned by Google and can also rank well, but I have found that squidoo does better for me. You can add an opt in form so your visitors can sign up for your email campaign where Squidoo does not allow this, although by way of Clearspring.com you can sneak in a form on Squidoo.
Blogspot has no advertising on their site so you will get no distractions and you can add you own ads or use their monitization features. Squidoo has a few templates you can use for your blog but with Blogspot you have hundreds of choices between their site and all the ones created by individuals that you can use.
Overall both of these sites provide a great benefit to internet marketers in that they are free, can rank well on Google and are easy to use. They both allow you to make unlimited numbers of blogs which is great. Try them both and take advantage of their benefits and you will be happy with them.
